I Hate Tuesdays!

Is there a day in the week you just don’t like? 

Maybe you dread “Manic Mondays” and listen to the Bangles 80s hit on repeat or rock out to Loverboys “Workin for the Weekend” (I’m dating myself, aren’t I?) to get through the work week. For me, it’s Tuesday. Worst damn day of the week. I try to find a happy Tuesday memory, but I can’t.

Many of us can recall exactly where we were when something bad happened.  We all remember where we were during 9/11, the space shuttle disaster, or when JFK was shot. For me, personal bad news always seems to get delivered on a Tuesday.

The day my son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2 years old?  Tuesday!

The day my father passed away?  Tuesday!

The day my daughter got in a bus accident and broke her back and fractured both hips..to later show signs of a rare auto inflammatory disorder, and then follow up with other rare autoimmune disorders? All on Tuesdays! 

The day my daughter had a grand mal seizure and coded blue – Tuesday!

I am not a big religious person.  My grandmother always said you were born into 2 things- religion & politics.  (I would joke with her and ask why can’t one be money?) I was raised Catholic but am,no longer a regular churchgoer and nowadays I am more of a follower of The Golden Rule.  But on Tuesdays I say a rosary.  I throw all the prayers up to the heavens and ask God, the Saints, and all the souls I have known and loved to grab those prayers and toss them down to whomever may need them that day whether it be for me, my family, my friends, or anyone in the world. 

It is just my little way of trying to hate Tuesday a little less.
